Edward Miller
Edward was born in Plantation, Florida. He graduated from the David Posnack Hebrew Day School in May 2004 and entered the University of Florida June of that year. He joined the McKenna lab in Spring 2005 and became a Beckman Scholar that summer.
Edward was first exposed to research through the University of Florida Student Science Training Program (SSTP) in 2002 under Dr. Thomas O’Brien. While collecting information for an SSTP class, Edward came across a brief description of a dependovirus and has been fascinated with the concept of AAV based gene therapy ever since. .
Edward intends to obtain an MD/PhD and continue work on AAV with the goal of realizing the complete execution of AAV based cures.
